Juelz Santana Arrested On Drug and Weapons Charges -

Rapper Juelz Santana was arrested  (Feb. 2) on four counts of narcotic and weapon offenses. The arrest comes after two loaded handguns and marijuana turned up in his New Jersey studio following a Jan. 20 raid that was the result of a ten month investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Gang Unit.

On Jan. 20, a search warrant was issued for Santana's World Inc. studio in Bergenfield, New Jersey. During the execution, two loaded 9MM caliber handguns were found along with several boxes of ammunition and seventeen bags of a "greenish brown vegetation" presumed to be marijuana. Drug paraphernalia was also seized.

Santana, who is believed to be a member of the Bloods street gang, was charged with Possession of a Firearm and a controlled Dangerous Substance; Possession of a Handgun Without Having a Permit; Possession With Intent To Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance; and Possession With Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance within 1000 Feet of a school zone.

Santana's arrest follows that of Toby M. Raynor, also known as Hynief, who is said to be a member of Santana's Skull Gang click. Raynor was arrested two weeks ago after police alleged he tried to sell an undercover officer marijuana twice. Raynor was later released on $50,000 bail.
