If you were to ask someone in the age racket of 30 to mid 40's their favorite time era majority will say the 80's to mid 90's. Rap took over the airways, Fashion trends were enhanced, hustlers were modeling the hottest rappers of that time era, and I can go on and on.
It was the 80's that the famous tailor Dapper Dan created a look that will be a trend adopted by the hip hop culture. Born and raised in Harlem he quickly caught on to the power of selling luxury. Dapper Dan would use authentic designer material of Gucci, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, and MCM to create greatness for the hustlers and rappers. In that era you weren't doing too much if you didn't have Dapper Dash signature in your car seats or your clothes. He even made pieces for some members of the Junior Black Mafia from Philadelphia. Traveling the distance from Philadelphia to 125th St in Harlem, NY and paying thousands of dollars for an outfit wasn't nothing if you were balling out of control. He was the best that did it. In fact, one of his biggest clients was Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson closed Mitch Green's eye in front of Dapper Dan's shop.
